Are you sure the delay is with DVLA? I've bought and registered new cars in a couple of days enquiry to drive away.

Late to the party but ordered mine on 18th May, and it took two weeks for Jaguar to accept their order into the system and I have an alleged delivery date of 26th July. Meantime I am without a vehicle so the wife isn't going to be too pleased with me for the next 5 weeks, nicking hers three days a week!

Regarding the comments about the clearsight mirror, Jaguar does state in the brochures that people with bi-focals will find difficulty with it so it isn't that they don't warn you beforehand.

When I specced mine it was so close to the £40k luxury tax limit that I decided to make it deliberately under because I didn't want to pay £1,750 over the five years because I was a couple of hundred pounds over the limit so I got a P250 HSE in caldera red with a limited number of options. I will be comparing it against my last car, a BMW 430i Gran Coupe (I know it should be the 330i but that's what I had). I set my goals as being more refined, better ride, more toys, and better leather on the seats (internal ambience if you like). I haven't actually seen a HSE model in the flesh so this should be fun...

I ordered mine roughly the same time and got an email from the dealer last Friday asking if I want to pick it up on 1st July, naturally I said yes :D

Would that be Taggarts? I would love it if they would do that for me as well though their order form said 31st August. I actually impressed upon him that I couldn't wait that long (no car) without actually saying I would cancel and he finally came back with the July date. They had better not wait until they have it ready because I have a plate on retention for it.
