At last a definitive answer- Petrol servicing requirements

Post by Mitchbitch » Sun Oct 13, 2019 5:17 pm

with Conflicting answers, the dealership saying my petrol Xe needs a yearly service, and the jaguar service plan online offering a two yearly option, I finally had a reply from JLR, it’s every 2 years or 21K,- wow I been putting £50 a month a side since Handover
(July), so I’ve booked an autumn city break to
Lisbon with my savings ;)

Yes it has, I had a email come through this morning from JLR stating that it’s 21k or 2 years, also fiddled about with the menus in the car today and ( ive done 2000miles) and it said quote” next service in 18000 miles” so it must be the case with MY20 petrol

Not sure how it can change when the engine and transmission are the same as the earlier ingeniums.

I guess Jaguar must be pretty confident that it won’t clap out for at least three years

I wouldn’t put my mortgage on it! Speak to somebody today within JLR and they may well suggest it’s 1 year/10k as I’ve pretty much experienced during my enquires over the last few months. I’ve been told it’s only 2 years/21k on the diesels. Positive is you have it in writing should they suggest otherwise come a warranty claim or when you come to sell 👍🏻

Can you give us an idea where you found that?
I had a look today but couldn't find it.
I did manage to change the wallpaper on the main screen from those awful trees though................which is nice.

Thanks.
I went through the dash menu several times and couldn't see it, likewise the infotainment menu etc.

Looking at the 2020 online handbook, the distance to next service should be displayed via Vechicle Info - Next Service. Try it with both engine off and on to see if it pops up.
Currently a Caesium Blue 30T Portfolio :D
