Re: Best MPG You've Had?
I'm only travelling just over 20 miles to work but 69.7 mpg is the best I've had yet, best I've had on the way home is 58mpg as it is more uphill.

Re: Best MPG You've Had?
Has anyone experience a drop in miles out of a tank?
I used to get 400-420 miles from a tank many months ago (last I checked properly was summer).
But in the last couple of refills, I've only been managing about 320 miles out of the tank.
My commute to work is only about 6 miles each way , I'm using the all the heat options etc as it's winter, but didn't think that'd have that much of an impact on petrol usage. Tyres were replaced last year and all filled to the right pressure.
Going in for a service next week so asked them to look at it. Wondering if anyone else has noticed anything similar?

Re: Best MPG You've Had?
Drop in temperature means longer warm up cycle, more ancillary power users and, unless you've adjusted them recently, low tyre pressures. All these things will impact on fuel economy.xep wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2020 3:29 pmHas anyone experience a drop in miles out of a tank?

Amazingly achieved 55MPG driving 200 miles yesterday!!
Just under half a tank left and already driven 413 miles...

Drive to the golf club in dynamic - 27.8 mpg, 24 miles, 44 mph average.
Drive back from golf club in comfort mode - 42.1 mpg, 42 mph average.
I didn’t realise there would be such a hit in fun mode

So far, 87 miles at an average of 47mph for 38mpg. Down single carraigeway NSL roads having only a little bit of fun

Re: Best MPG You've Had?
Only had my XE one month, so I have not bothered to check the MPG. My XKR averages 23, so anything over that is a bonus

Re: Best MPG You've Had?
If the drive there was with a cold start - then that would account for quite a bit of the difference, but of course dynamic mode will use
a bit more fuel. Dynamic mode for the smiles per gallon though

Corris Grey 180D R sport - loving it.

Re: Best MPG You've Had?
The best in the XE was 40.1mpg on a 52 mile round trip, this compares favorably to the XJS 5.2 HE I drove in the 80s 10.1mpg
- 0-60 7.2sec fast then, mediocre now

Interestingly the exact same return journey was 3mpg less.
