Best MPG You've Had?

Might be a silly question, but for those getting good MPG in the V6, are you guys using manual gear changes? Appreciate the better MPG will be cruising on a motorway, but around town I notice sometimes the auto sits in a lower gear than it seems to need.

Or am I just struggling to adjust to the auto?

Yep as UV Blue says, Eco mode and let the car do the rest. I think with 450 nM of torque you dont need to rev much to make progress.

This rainy morning on a 30 miles trip to my working place I had about 54 mpg, backing home it was about 38 mpg . My tank to tank average was about 42 mpg for the first 1800 miles. For the past 3000 miles the trip computer shows 45 mpg. Best mpg? 3.2 l/km, one mile trip, downhills in summer.

yeah, I've got 43-ish on a motorway run, I get the better mpg's when in 'ECO' mode - I let the car choose the best optimum revs vs gear and it does a better job than me! The car can feel a bit sluggish in this mode but when I want a quicker getaway I just use the paddle and drop it down and I'm away - over the hills and far away.... la la...la

I have achieved nearly 70mpg in the 180 RSport on a run but before I got the stop start to work all the time, when warmed up, I get 40-44 and before I used to get 34-37 on the same journeys.

Best I've had from the V6 is an indicated 43mpg, 100 mile motorway drive on a Sunday evening. Same weekend saw less than 23mpg hooning around in Wales.

23, you can’t of been trying hard enough, I managed to get mine down to 12

23, you can’t of been trying hard enough, I managed to get mine down to 12

Well, the 23 was an average including all the dull roads in between the good ones! I can't remember which stretch, was going between Bala and Ffestiniog, B4391I think, had brakes grumbling in the wet. Greta wouldn't approve

I'll have to try harder. In my defence, it was lashing down with rain all weekend. Racing driver excuses etc...
