Not seen much (if anything) from the V6 brigade - my best is about 37mpg on a motorway cruise @ 75 mph indicated (which I assume is really 70).
Interestingly, I get the impression that the "economy" is better at that sort of speed than with a gentle cross country at around 40-50 - suggests good aerodynamics.

Today was my first decent trip since buying my 2016 R-Sport - 2.0L (200) petrol.

On the run to the British Motor Museum at Gaydon I mainly had a very boring cruise control trip on the M40. On the way back home I took the non-motorway route to Oxford and then did A34 and M4. The return trip was busier and more stop/start. I expected the first run to therefore be the more economical of the two.

I was wrong. Must be something to do with the average speed. Either that or it was downhill on the way back

Those look about the figures I'd expect from the 300, Bob :D

I couldn't make it to Gaydon this morning, unfortunately, but I'm planning on a trip out into the country tonight to do some star-watching... :geek:

HeeHee..... Have to hold my hand up to playing with a BMW 630, sitting on my rear number plate, on the way back on the A41, NO CONTEST. he backed off on the twisty bits. That 'might' account for the loss off a bit of MPG. ;) Who cares though, it was fun.

I have to say, the A41 there is good for that sort of thing... :)

It is impressive the number of folks that want to read your speedo from their driving seat on the straight bits, but drop back very rapidly on the fun bits
