Service schedule for New XE

Post by Chas379 » Tue Jan 14, 2020 5:16 pm

When I took delivery of my new XE 2.0 T/C Petrol 250ps R Dynamic S last Sept. the dealership mentioned they would contact me re a service plan package when they were released.

I received an e-mail last month and accessed the site entering my vehicle details. To date I have 1450 miles on the clock and average around 6,000 miles a year.

A schedule was produced indicating the 1st service would be due during Sept 2021. Just to be on the safe side I contacted the dealership today re this as in the past put my other XE's in for service annually.

Dealership confirmed the service would be due during Sept 20201 or 20,000 miles whichever came sooner.

So seeing that the car will be changed in Sept. 2022 I am only in for 1 service which should save over entering into a 3 yrs plan

This seems to be the norm these days, due largely to the modern synthetic oils which are used.
My current car is an Audi A4 and the schedule is the same. In fact the only scheduled items on the service were an oil change and filter change together with a pretty thorough inspection the details of which came back on a 4 page report. There was an option to have the pollen filter changed which I took up. All helps to keep the costs down I suppose, and is good news for me as I am taking delivery of a new XE next month.
