Today’s Fun

Post by phil-c » Sun Jun 14, 2020 8:50 pm

Managed to get out for a nice run today only 65 miles to Ikea and back queue was to long so didn’t even stop
On way back home On M5 I t started raining wipers came on drivers side one made a snap sound and blade came of the arm. So straight to Halfords as it was the nearest place. They looked at the passenger side one and the clip that was left told me they were the Bosch ones. They then fired a new Halfords one it seemed to fit and look more secure than the Bosch.

Also bit the bullet and paid for map updates full download and install took about 1 1/2 hours

Good that you got it sorted out so easily. Anyone know which company makes the Jaguar OEM wiper blades?

You don't need Jag blades BOSCH make brilliant blades. I have just fitted a set to mine. There is a very minor length difference on one of them but it is no detriment whatsoever. c. £22 here in England.

If you think Bosch are brilliant you really should try Valeo.
I used to swear by Bosch until I tried the Valeo alternatives, they are quieter, sweep and clear better and last longer.
If you are willing to try you need, for an XE, Valeo set VF915.

I'll second the Valeo blades, they're my go to brand whenever my wipers need replacing and I also always used to use Bosch.

Try this web site.: WWW.WINDSCREENWIPERS.CO.UK
Whoops, just tried them for XE blades and they current offer Bosch only!

Good to hear Valeo being so highly recommended given I should recieve a set for my XF tomorrow!
