That was a good price and the cover is quite comprehensive in more ways than one. ;)

My renewal is £430 for 12,000 miles a year with Aviva. Going to look around as this seems a bit expensive at £70 more than last year.

Bev, go to Quote Me Happy, it's still Aviva but a bit cheaper. Be wary of price comparison sites.

I have decided to go with Jaguar - they are more expensive but I'm impressed that any work done will be guaranteed for 5 years. Hope I never have to find out. Big advantage is the Jaguar body shop is close to where I live.

Direct Line renewal quote this year was £396, Quotemehappy wanted £313 but Aviva quoted £248 with £50 cashback so worked out to half what DL wanted 😀

Just insured through Aviva as a 'new' customer (returning after a year off), including £60 Quidco cashback, £190 for the year, fully comp SD&P, inc NCB prot (11 yrs), 8k/yr, 2 drivers (37 yo/39 yo, both IAM qualified), £550 voluntary excess (but have Jag £250 excess protect) = #bargain

My other car is with QMH, decent price as well. But for the Quidco cashback I'd have gone with them for both...

I am 62, have gone with Jag insurance this time around, £358, £500 excess offset by a £250 voucher

about a £100 dearer than my 14 year old Mondeo ST220, so for the age difference I didn't think this was too bad, but will look around at renewal time

You get the £250 voucher off any company’s policy excess as long as you go through Jag for the repair.

Mine went up by about £50 to £350 in September when I renewed with Direct Line. I've been with them for about 4 years and I always do a check on the comparison websites before renewing and although I could have saved about £10, it's not worth the hassle of changing for that. I did try and get the price down but they wouldn't shift at all. They mentioned the increase this year was due to higher insurance tax and increased costs. One thing they did point out is that they do not charge for any variations during the insurance period. I had a look at other companies and most seem to charge about £50.
