Great advertising for Jaguar though, give a £55k car to a popular show for 11 episodes. Better than paying for a string of adverts and cheaper too.

The young lady doing the timed laps is 25 year old Abbie Eaton, who started karting at 10 and went on to win the MX5 championship in 2014, and this year she won the Blancpin Endurance Series in a Ferrari 488 GT3 – the first woman to ever get a place on the podium. She is also an instructor at Silverstone.

After last night’s Jaguar focussed edition we have learned we steal family heirlooms from friends and toiletries and bathrobes from hotels, but nobody minds because we’re Jaaaag owners! We’re all caddish men (really?) and the reason the mafia never took hold in London was the Krays were far scarier than them thanks to their Jag. Watching an XJR ski was hilarious, but I do confess to sobbing after seeing an XK, XJS and Mark 10 (I think that is the right one - she was a beautiful 50 year old lady) meet an untimely demise. The upside was Kiefer Sutherland in the F Type. His track lesson was obvious to see. Overall great fun. Just don’t let them have any more Jags😾

Don't watch the TV Channel Talking Pictures you'll cry your eyes out  , they show many British films of the 1950's and 1960's. Any crime film appears to have Jaguar's of the time, driven by the Police and the villains. The films usually end in a car chase, where the villains' Jaguars either crashes or ends up going over a cliff. As a child of the 60's watching 'The Saint', 'Champions' etc I thought Jaguar's could fly :D

A few got trashed in The Sweeny too.
The one that still actually makes me scream out loud is in the original "Italian Job" when the Mafioso stop them on the mountain road and then go to work on the E-Types and the Aston with a digger.

Another interesting episode - particularly the story behind the Lancia/Audi battle in world rallying. Gotta love the Italians. I remember wanting the later Delta Integrale with its beautiful looks - unfortunately I had not long since passed my test, they were hideously expensive and I doubt I could ever have got insurance, but a girl could dream.
