Jaguar in British Touring Cars?

Post by 147daytona » Sat Apr 13, 2019 12:02 pm

I was just wondering if Jaguar have ever thought of running an XE in the BTTC?

With there being BMW, Audi and VW proper 4 door saloons in the series, I think this would really raise the profile of the car, especially to the younger generations, which is who Jaguar are trying to attract to the brand, and I suspect it could be done by helping fund a team for a lot less than it cost to develop and produce the Project 8 (as good as it is).

What are your views on this?

Would be good to see how they fair yep.
Hopefully the AEB wouldn’t accidentally intervene
But with the current situation of JLR, stockpile of unsold cars, and money they are already putting in to Formula E and the iPace Trophy the chance of it happening is, shall we say, slim.
Shame though.
