Model XE cars

Post by Deleted User 732 » Thu Dec 28, 2017 12:50 pm

I recently bought a small model XE in 1:76 scale in Bluefire. It is an XE S though but is also available in IRR. The same company also make several Jaguar models inc the F Pace.

So if you fancy a little reminder of your car they are available.

These are only small cars so don't expect a large model.

Not trying to derail your post (I'd never do that to you, Vespa!), but there's only one model I ever wanted.

No joke---this car was built, was real. And perhaps, never more.

Even the story of its passing was a work of art. Just google, 1939 Simone.

I love my XE. But a man can love a ghost too. Two loves.

An art deco car from before the war is a rare beast indeed, especially as only one was ever made.

Has anyone found a larger model, preferably 1/18th? I have an X-type and would like to add to the stable. A Googly search has only thrown up a lot of spurious rubbish and not what I'm looking for.

I too have been looking and cannot find anything bigger than the 1/72 scale. Oxford diecast may produce something later but I think it would only be 0 guage. At present most 0 guage is steam era and around pre 1968 models so it may never appear. I wonder what happened to Burago models as they went in to a larger scale.

They were who I had in mind. They issued a catalogue for this year but the 1/18th range is quite small and mostly classics.

Biggest I've seen is 1.43 from Jagwar themselves and it's only IRR and looks like a portfolio.

The 1.18 stuff tends to be supercars etc but a couple of blokes on the F-Type forums have bought them.
Very expensive though.
