XE Golf Umbrella

Post by Kaikoura » Fri Jun 19, 2020 2:40 pm

I wanted a new umbrella to go with my new (to me) XE. Had a look on eBay and decided not to pay a fortune and went for the cheapest one available.

Ordered it yesterday and it arrived today and the postage was free. I was not expecting much for the price but the quality is excellent. Really pleased with my purchase :D

I know what's wrong, and if I could find it, I'd fix it.

I got one of those about 18 months back for £12.99 from Hatfields via ebay. I also got two writing books with all Jaguar XE for £9 Neither have been used yet though. Even at £16.99 they are a good quality brolly.

There is a problem with going to Halfords. While I would save £4 on the umbrella I could have spent another £30 on things I spotted as I walked around. Bit like you with your writing books

I didn't go to "Halfords". It was the JLR dealer HATFIELDS who advertise on Ebay gen Jaguar items.

Fortunately my eyes are good enough to read the number on the side of the LNER Thompson Class B1 in your picture. I think this is the same engine photographed around 1978, before it had its number painted on the front. I am back row 4th from the right. We might have been doing Bridgnorth to Sellafield. I think we changed trains or swapped engines somewhere but it was a long time ago.

Well, we need something to talk about until we can go out for the drives we want...

Me, I'm waiting for the Welsh to feed the dragons on the border, so they don't try eating Jaguars sneaking in

There are about three breweries and quite a few bookshops I haven't been to for months :(
