Best MPG You've Had?

So today I had a really relaxing drive. It averaged at 48 miles per hour and achieved 47mpg (UK MPG) In a 25t Ingenium.

I have also had 46mpg over an 80 mile drive through the welsh mountain roads and shropshire roads just keeping up with the usual traffic and having a bit of fun whenever I got the space ahead of me.

If I granny it I can get about 62 on a 55mile trip On A roads. That’s the 180 diesel.

I have averaged 55mpg since late August. This is average over 18 mile journeys on a regular basis and a 140 each way journey up the A9 and A roads from Fife to Elgin. I do from time to time give it head and enjoy the torque available. I am very impressed with the consumption overall and can average 60+ on a motorway without trying. Love my Jag.

I've managed over 40mpg on about half a dozen journeys - usually busy but moving motorway trips, and I usually get mid-thirties on more normal out of town runs, along with mid-twenties on short urban trips.

It's pretty much what I expected from the 300ps petrol beastie, and it is actually rather better than most of the petrol motors I've owned before so I'm not complaining!

I have a portfolio 180D, had it for 90 weeks now and over that period have averaged 40mpg. Top was on a 105 mile motorway trip to London, averaged 70.1mpg.
Call me sad...... but I am retired, love my XE and love playing with figures in spreadsheets, see the attached. Maybe surprised to see that 87% of my journeys are 0-5 miles. Over the 90 week period I have covered around 12,300 miles

Best I've had from the V6 is an indicated 43mpg, 100 mile motorway drive on a Sunday evening. Same weekend saw less than 23mpg hooning around in Wales.

According to my eco data thing, the “best” trip is 75mpg @ 99%. I don’t think I was driving it that day.

Anyone checked indicated - v - actual mpg (using full to full tank or similar)
My experience with previous cars (not Jaguar) suggested around 10% exaggeration despite odometer checking out close to 100% accuracy.

77.1 from Scotch Corner to Chesterfield on A1M, M18, M1, A617 and 99.9 from local garden centre into town (about 2 miles)

In my humble experience the discrepancy of indicated to actual is or can be way more than 10%. I am currently averaging around 43-44mpg actual on a tank to tank basis. I must however say that most of my journeys are less than 30 miles, and a mix of A road and a little town work. This is with a 180D R sport.
