Re: Project Redrum
I am seeing for it.

https://www.amazon.es/protector-pantall ... B00XWE1OHY
You have to cut it. Is not specific for xe but......
I have a doubt. The side skirts need the same protection?
In the photos you can see it is a very exposed zone. But i don't know if is a problem or not.
Rear bumper i think is less necessary...

There wasn't a problem on the first XE with damage to the skirts but on the new one we can't be sure.
On the "old" XE the area which could get damage was the panel just in front of the rear wheels.
There are pre-cut films for this online.
To be safe and as you are cutting your own film, it might be good to cover the side skirts as well.
My last XE had a clear film panel applied just in front of the rear wheel and the side skirts didn't get any damage.
This is the area on the first XE that can have the issue:
MY20 RR Evoque P300 HSE.
2015 XE S 340, British Racing Green.
2017 XE S 380, Carpathian grey.

Hi Philb. In the garage we have an old car in black and the new mine blue.
I think side skirts are very similar or the same. The differences are in front and rear bumpers. More in rear really.
Have you got links of pre cut films? Definitely i am going to do a test! I am only finding this. https://www.aliath.co.uk/collections/ja ... ear-shield

If you do a google search on "Jaguar XE sill protection film" quite a few come up and I think a few have bought and fitted these themselves.
I had mine done at a specialist who scanned the panel and then laser cut the film.

Hi chaps,
Likewise I’m really interested in protecting the paint work in those area’s, however a little apprehensive on doing a proper job myself. Any ideas of costs to have this done professionally please?

On a side note, blacking out all silver/chrome is underway. Got this in today and waiting on the leaper logo to swap them out.

Re: Project Redrum
If the replacement leaper isnt right (I ordered one and the cat was malnourished and looked silly) it is easy to DIY. I took mine off (dental floss, there might be a positioning stud as well). cleaned it up with turps, and then sprayed it with 3 or more coats of caliper paint. Then I stuck it back on with black silicone. Easy peasy.

Re: Project Redrum
You probably won't notice anything - it can build up over time.
This happens without spacers so you are still vulnerable possibly moreso.
