What should be done on second service?

Post by Bazzamf » Sat May 04, 2019 8:51 am

I've recently had the car in for it's second service, which was one of 3 free services negotiated when I bought the car. Having checked the Jaguar service web site it seems that apart from the underside inspection, which was videoed, all that is recorded is an engine oil and filter change. Should the pollen filter and engine air filter also be changed, or is it just not recorded. I have a little over 12,000 miles on the clock.

Somewhere on the service website there is a list of what each service consists of. I think it's on a drop down list.

the pollen filter is down to be changed every service, certainly 1st and 2nd.
Second service also includes fuel and air filters

as Faltwen says - you can go on the OSH site, osh.jaguar.com, enter your VIN and check the service schedules

the above was for Diesel btw, so be worth checking petrol for yours - I'd expect air filter is the same, maybe not fuel filter ...

Thanks guys for the replies. I have now been on the Jaguar on line service web site and found where the service schedules are and printed them. It is now crystal clear what should be done at each service.

Do you have a link for this "Jaguar on line service web site"?
I can't seem to find a listing that states what each service should cover.

Great, thanks for that.
I did see that web page but wasn't sure about typing in VIN number. I thought there may have been a general page with service items and schedules listed.
I'll give it a go.
Cheers 👍
