Key battery

Post by Hellbunker14 » Fri Jun 14, 2019 11:53 am

Folks,
Is it easy enough to change the battery for my key? it came up as 'low' on my dash.
Thanks
Ian

Dead easy. The battery is a standard 2032 lithium button cell available everywhere.

You slide the chrome piece off the keyfob and use the emergency key inside to pop the case open by inserting it in the square hole and twisting.

Probably a good idea to replace the other one too.

Previously mine have always been changed at Service. I usually hand in both keys. That may depend on the Dealership of course.
