Greeting from Italy
Greeting from Italy
Hi folks from a new XE driver from Italy.
I picked a quite new XE as a long time rental for my professional needs. It's a 2018 2.0D AWD XE Prestige of which I'm fully satisfied.
I'll be posting some questions here and will go thru lots of posts to learn more and enjoy my XE to its full potential.
Have a great day you all,
Regards
AG

Re: Greeting from Italy
Buongiorno Agatti. Italy, my favourite place away from home. Hopefully I'll squeeze in one more visit this year. Probably won't drive there in the XE though. Planes are even quicker!

Hey Mike! Buongiorno ! I know several people like Italy for the food and the place itself, particularly Tuscany if I'm not wrongMike Rometer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 9:38 amBuongiorno Agatti. Hello Agatti. We spent nearly 3 weeks touring Italy a few years back and really loved the Amalfi coast. We stayed all over but my favourite was Sorrento.

I've not been to any place I didn't like, but best are Rome (and I'm not a city person), and the Lakes, with Sorrento and Amalfi area following close behind. Still lots to see yet.agatti wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 9:47 amHey Mike! Buongiorno ! Enjoy that beautiful place. There is a great little cafe in the square who looked after my wife for 6 days with her fussy eating. I love Italian food but she is too fussy and has to pick and choose. The owner was superb and she actually had no moans about his suggestions.
I think this was the place but it was 30 years ago................. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@40.6271951,14.3747514,3a,75y,94.27h,91.65t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sICxdx4UC4G5JzO5IyREZmA!2e0!7i16384!8i8192

Re: Greeting from Italy
Welcome agatti.
Loved my visit to Italy a few years back when my daughter was teaching in Genoa. She was living in Rapallo and while I was there we did the famous Cinq Terre walk and also visited some old tower that needed a bit of tlc
. It really is a beautiful country and the people are wonderful.
