Incontrol Pro Services confusion

I'm coming to the end of my three year warranty on my XE. Currently I have the following ICT Pro services:
Incontrol Pro Services
Incontrol Protect
Incontrol Remote Premium

I contacted customer relations to ask about renewing and have been told the last two can be be renewed on receipt of an email from Jaguar, during the last month of the warranty, cost £30 for one year
The Incontrol Pro Services, map updates, including "Connected Features" and "Connected Services" cost is £89 for one year and £129 for three and this includes map updates.
My confusion surrounds the in car WiFi hotspot. The Jaguar email implies that Live and the hotspot is part of this package. Is this correct?
At the moment passengers in my car hook up their phones and iPads etc to 3G, if I don't buy the Pro Services package will they lose this facility?
What is the experience of those who have bought the £30 combination? Did you lose 3G?

The hotspot works off your Psim in the centre console and is totally unrelated

Thank you Mark, with the £30 option do you still see the traffic congestion red and orange roads on the navigation map or does that require the other package? I'm just reluctant to spend a further £89/£129 simply for map updates.

You need a valid maps subscription for the traffic updates I'm afraid, I just did mine the other month. I updated the maps just before it expired and ran without it for a while but shortly realised how much I rely on it!

£129 for three years services including map updates seems pretty cheap to me.
I believe owners with the standard ICT and the memory card get stung around £90 a time for map updates......??

Yes but ours includes horse water troughs and Highway robbery sites. :lol: :lol:

Or use Apple Car Play/Android guidance (if you have ICT Pro updated). I found the guidance to be very good on CarPlay when the M2 was shut Sunday night. Mine was updated under warranty last week as had bluetooth fault, but I was warned it might cost £300 otherwise.
