Steering Column Rattle

Hi,

I have a 2016 Jaguar XE that develops a rattle in the steering wheel column when on rough roads and travelling at high speed. I took it to the dealer where, funnily enough, they couldn't replicate the issue. It's been happening now for about 6 months. The only suggestion the dealer came up with is that I have uneven wear on my tyres but couldn't guarantee that replacing them would solve the issue as they don't know what is causing it. If it is the tyres that are causing it I'm happy to replace them. I just don't want to go to that expense if it isn't. I've driven a previous car with an almost flat tyre before and didn't have any rattles so it seems a bit odd that would be the cause. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

I also have a rattle in the rear drivers side door which they found was an issue with the door trim and will be replacing. I've had a number of issues with the interior of the car which so far Jaguar have been able to identify and fix, until the steering wheel rattle!

Thanks
